50 Days til Christmas!!!!
Isn’t it worrying when you are constantly reminded that Christmas is just around the corner. I looked at Ebay over the weekend to find a header with an online countdown and today it is just 50 days! Don’t get me wrong I love Christmas but this year seems to have gone rather a bit too fast for me – or maybe that is the sign I am getting older!
I even heard Christmas music tinkling away whilst shopping at the weekend and it feels like we have only just got over the retail merchandising plug for Halloween, before we get to another.
It only reminds me of how much I have to do, how much I have to buy and the age old question, what do you buy for a man who has everything?
Well my Father and Husband fall into this category and I don’t quite know how many more socks, mugs, photographic gifts or golf accessories I could buy for them. The interesting thing is that my young son is now starting to indulge in sports, showing interest in football and golf and is using terminology like putting, swing and off-side and he is only 6. Maybe this is largely due to the fact he plays the Mini Golf game and FIFA 10 on the Wii console at every opportunity!
Maybe I could have a Lee Westward on my hands, after all he has finally reached the No.1 Rank in the World, ending Tiger Woods 5 year reign, all that without even picking up a club due to his calf strain! Failing that I would be happy with the next Theo Walcott or Andy Murray – they all certainly know how to strike a ball!
I had better get scouring the internet for some Christmas gift ideas for my husband, father and son, they say you can never get them started in golf too young!
